Favourite snack
NEXT week sees the celebration of one of the UK's greatest traditions - sandwiches. Bacon butties are apparently the UK's favourite sarnie snack.
So why not cure those Monday morning blues and start National Sandwich Week in style with this sizzling new recipe from Danepak for a BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato) sandwich.
There's nothing quite like the smell of bacon cooking. It's well known for evoking warm, positive feelings and recent research confirms that more than one in three people feel better after having a bacon butty.
A fifth of the population even admitted to finding the smell of bacon cooking more alluring than expensive perfumes and after-shaves.
Britons eat a staggering 560 million bacon butties each year which equates to over 1,000 butties a minute.
