And now the eighty-nine-year-old from Droxford and his treasured 1937 Riley Monaco are gearing up for a weekend of stardom when they take centre-stage at a prestigious Hampshire car show.
Mr Theobald and his car have been selected by judges to appeared alongside enthusiasts from all over the UK at the Beaulieu Classic Car Show last weekend.
The event gave Mr Theobald a chance to indulge his driving passion that has become a family affair. He said: "Although I've had this car for 30 years I used to own a 1932 Riley which I passed on to my son and now my grandson is driving it.''
