Eastleigh'S Fleming Park Leisure Centre will have a Crucible feel to it tonight as two snooker legends grace a packed stage for the Embassy Snooker Classic (7.30).
Jimmy White (right) and Steve Davis (left) battle it out over seven frames in a repeat of their 1984 World Championship final at the famous Sheffield venue.
But "Whirlwind" White first has to overcome The Daily Echo's own champion, Eastleigh Conservatives amateur Andy Kane, in a one-frame shootout before Davis brings the curtain down with a 45-minute solo session filled with trick shots, jokes and audience participation.
White is without doubt one of the most popular snooker players in the world while Davis is a huge family favourite which is why the event sold out in record time after the launch in March.
Those lucky enough to have tick-ets will be in for a real treat with Alan Hughes, "the man with the mike" at all the top snooker events, adding his showbiz touch as master of ceremonies.
