Fulham are the latest club rumoured to be showing an interest in Saints' keeper Antti Niemi.

The Finnish stopper has been linked with a move in virtually every transfer window since he joined the club and this is no exception.

Niemi almost went to Celtic in the summer and now Charlton, Everton and Fulham are said to be leading the chase for him.

Fulham have just signed up Tony Warner but, as he and Mark Crossley have not been totally convincing, the club are understood to be in the market for a top-quality keeper.

Saints would want a decent fee for Niemi, despite the fact he is 33. They certainly would not accept less than £1m and are likely to try to hold out for £1.5m.
