YOUNGSTERS had the chance to be commandos during a 1940s theme day.
They were able to dress up in Army fatigues, listen to stories about the Blitz and mess about on a commando course at the event at Fort Nelson, Fareham.
Councillor Sean Woodward, leader of Fareham Borough Council, was at the Portsdown Hill venue with his young son. He said: "It was all about camouflage, bazookas, rifles and games. It was good fun."
Fort Nelson is staging family activities throughout the Easter half-term.
