A HAMPSHIRE animal shelter is calling on all local spring cleaners to think before they throw away their unwanted goods.
Items that are no longer of use could prove a godsend for staff and animals at The Stubbington Ark RSPCA shelter based in Fareham.
They are urging people to rethink and collect their rejected goods to donate to the ark so they can be sold at the charity's regular jumble and car boot sales.
Fundraising manager Vanessa Eden said: "Remember you don't need to give money to the Stubbington Ark to make a difference. As long as your bric-a-brac and clothing is in good condition we can use it.
"All the money raised will be used to give the animals in our care the chance of a new home with adopted loving families."
Anyone wishing to donate bric-a-brac or clothing to the ark should take it directly to the shelter in 174-176 Ranvilles Lane. It is open seven days a week from 10am to 4pm.
