Winchester and District A.C. fielded only a small contingent of athletes at the National Indoor Championships in Birmingham recently, but still came away with a full set of medals.
It is the indoor season finale for the Under 20, 17 and 15 age groups and this year's Championship not only included athletes from the whole of the UK and Ireland but from Singapore and Slovakia as well.
In this ultra-competitive environment, where many of the athletes on show will be expected to represent Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics, the Winchester athletes performed exceptionally well to come away with a Gold, Silver and Bronze.
First on the rostrum was Emma Buckett, who, in an exceptionally close competition, finished joint third in the Under 15 Girls High Jump with a height of 1.61m. Emma shared the bronze with three other competitors, but also achieved the same height as the silver medallist.
As Emma has another year in the Under 15 age group, she promises to be in contention for the National title next year.
Next up was Kieran Showler-Davis, who was contesting the 60m and Long Jump in the Under 15 Boys competition.
Kieran progressed through the early rounds of the 60m, setting new personal best marks in his heat of 7.53s and then 7.44s in the semi-final for third place, thus earning qualification for the final.
He then had a detour off to the Long Jump, where he again set a new personal best of 6.23m in the third round to win the competition and go fifth on the all-time Under 15 Boys indoor rankings.
This jump also ranks him first in the UK indoors this year.
He then returned to the 60m final, where he was probably a little tired after his long jump efforts, and finished sixth in 7.51s.
Lastly Louis Sellers was looking impressive as he moved through the heats and semi finals as fastest qualifier in the Under 20 men's 400m, where he was trying to turn the tables on the reigning title holder and Welsh Champion Bruce Tasker.
In the final it was apparent during the first lap that it was becoming a two horse race between Sellers and Tasker.
Going through the bell, Tasker just edged into the lead and despite a brave effort to close off the final bend by Sellers, he held on to win in a new Welsh Under 20 record of 47.74s.
Louis' time of 48.01s was a new personal best indoors and also eclipses his outdoor time from last year. It was an exceptional performance that places him second in the UK Under 20 indoor 400m rankings.
Louis can be confident that this performance is a good indicator for the coming summer season, where his target is the British squad for the World Junior Championships.
