CONTROVERSIAL plans for 43 new homes on the former Scats depot at Micheldever Station have been given the green light by planning chiefs in Winchester.
Berkeley Homes plans to build ten four-bed, eight three-bed, 21 two-bed and four one-bed houses and flats, 30 per cent of which will be affordable, on the site next to the railway line, west of Overton Road.
Micheldever Parish Council objected to the plans but Councillor Therese Evans said the design was what planning officers had pointed the developers towards.
