HOOVERBOYS and Diggergirls were just some of the wild and wacky characters these youngsters created at a "superhero factory" in Hampshire.
Specialist workshop tutor Clare Jefferson took the seven to 11-year-olds on a magical journey of special powers and costumes.
First she found out more about their favourite heroes and, together with parents, grandparents and new-found friends, they got stuck into the papier mache, paints, and an assortment of household materials.
As their creations dried, the youngsters turned their attention to mask-making and accessories.
The end result was a futuristic medley of colour and imagination, and the satisfaction of seeing another heroic mission successfully completed.
The Ashcroft Arts Centre in Fareham is running a series of fun-filled events for children throughout the Easter break, all of them related to superheroes.
