You might have forgotten but that big yellow thing in the sky is the sun and summer will, touch wood, be here soon. As the weather gets sunnier so should music, and that's where Six Nation State come in.
Having seen their debut single Keep Dancing playlisted by XFM and Radio 1's too-cool-for-school Zane Lowe, Six Nation State are wacky racing their tour to Lennon's in their home town of Southampton.
If the Zutons spent a year in Mexico City fuelled by tequila and addictive guitar hooks then they would emerge with the sound and furious energy of Six Nation State. Lennon's have got a late license til 3am for the gig with Rebus tomorrow night and the first 50 people in the venue before 10pm get in free.
The boys are suited, booted and Southampton rooted so surrender to the upbeat force of Six Nation State because they're going to make the summer exciting, whatever the weather.
Details from Lennons in Onslow Road. Box office: 023 8057 0460.
