A LONG-awaited business park planned to provide upwards of 1,000 jobs in Ludgershall could be used to handle some of the area's rubbish.
A strategic plan revealed to Tidworth town councillors has suggested that Castledown Business Park might have a waste recycling facility - but the idea hasn't gone down well with everyone.
District councillor Steve Miles, said: "We were told that this site was for employment not a glorified rubbish tip.
"I think we are being sold another pup."
He pointed out that the site was near the school and suggested land behind Somme Road would be better suited to the facility.
However, county councillor Mark Connolly pointed out that a similar facility already operated on an industrial site in Devizes and that a sustainable facility was needed in Tidworth and Ludgershall.
