A MOTORCYCLIST from Hampshire who died following a road accident in north Dorset has been named by police.
Robert Charles Tate, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened at 7pm on Wednesday.
Police said Mr Tate, a customer support engineer from Coleville Avenue, Fawley, died from head injuries.
The accident, on the B3081, involved a Yamaha motorcycle and a Toyota Celica. The driver of the Toyota was uninjured.
An inquest into Mr Tate's death was opened and adjourned yesterday.
