INDUSTRIAL action is on the cards at ferry operator Wightlink.
Maritime union RMT is to bring in an overtime ban, which could come into effect as early as Good Friday.
Two 24-hour strikes are also scheduled from midday on Easter Monday and on Sunday, April 23.
Members of the RMT at Wightlink, which has 600 staff, voted overwhelmingly for industrial action in response to a pay freeze. The company runs services across the Solent between Lymington and Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. According to the RMT, the overtime ban could lead to cancellations of services. Wightlink is due to hold talks with the union today.
