IT IS not often you get to see youngsters removing graffiti from walls and fences but a group of young wardens spent a day doing just that in Southampton.
Southampton City Council junior wardens were joined by television personality Fred Dinenage to give Archery Road Recreation Ground a facelift.
The juniors donned their overalls to get stuck into graffiti removal and painting of the play area at the Weston recreational ground, to make it a better place for the children who play there.
Martin Chase, play services officer at Southampton City Council, said: "It's great to see the junior wardens wanting to help tidy the play area and have fun in painting the play equipment.
"The play area definitely looks brighter."
The wardens also took part in some litter picking to make the the area surrounding the play equipment more tidy.
