THOUSANDS of youngsters from across Hampshire are to be targeted for jobs in a £1m TV advertising campaign for the construction industry.
Building firm bosses say that, in the south, they need to recruit up to 40,000 new employees, and are looking to fill up to 4,000 of those positions in Hampshire.
In particular the construction industry want to attract more girls to its ranks, after a recent survey suggested more female school leavers would happily work in the sector if they thought they could get jobs.
The campaign is also aimed at recruiting more youngsters into areas such as civil engineering and stonemasonry.
