Victory in the latest Hampshire Alliance meeting (Alliance Bowl) went to Simon Pink (Meon Valley) and Rob Giddings (Waterlooville) with a fine score of +9 - each player providing five birdies, with only one hole being lost.
Second on +8 over the Test Valley course were Matt Tryhorn (Corhampton) and Howard Brace (Royal Winchester), who were unable to capitalise on a front nine which had yielded six birdies.
Way back on +4 in equal third were Simon Hill and Tony Parker (both Alresford), Charlie Gold (Tidworth) and Brian Osborne (Waterloovile), Gary Stubbington (Hockley) and Ian Wolton (The Army) and Richard Woolley (Basingstoke) and Terry Billson (Test Valley).
The amateur section also provided clear winners in Dave Mecklenbunburgh (Hockley) and Louise Stephenson (Lee-on-the-Solent) who recorded a fine score of +3, five shots clear of Colin Herring (Corhampton) and Bob Watson (Dummer).
Herring & Watson also teamed up with Ian Powell (unattached) and David Farr (Alresford) to win the afternoon nine-hole team Stableford competition.
