JIM Taylor picked up the first silverware when Southampton and District Lawyers Golf Society held its first meeting of the year, the Johnny Johnson Cup at Hockley GC.
The trophy was donated by the late Johnny Johnson, who stipulated that Hockley must be the course played as he preferred the downhill 18th to the uphill 18th at Stoneham GC.
Taylor's total of 39 Stableford points was matched by Michael Goodwin, who was edged out on back nine countback.
