YOUNGSTERS put on their walking shoes and Easter bonnets to raise money for charity with a fun day at the David Lloyd leisure centre in Ringwood.
More than 100 children took part in the day, which included a sponsored toddle around the tennis courts. Their efforts helped raise more than £300 for the Domino appeal in aid of Wessex Autistic Society's Portfield School near Christchurch.
Abbie Hawkins, 5, and seven-year-old Tahlia Eccleston were judged winners of their respective age groups in the Easter bonnet parade.
"It was an excellent day," said David Lloyd family activities co-ordinator Deana Matthews who organised the event.
Deana's role as special educational needs co-ordinator at David Lloyd has brought her into contact with Portfield and families of children with autism.
She said: "The children attend our playschemes and various classes which builds up their self esteem and they learn new skills as well as making many friends.
