KEVIN Pietersen took his first ever England wicket yesterday as the tourists finally got off the mark in the one-day series in India.
While his county colleagues were lining up at the Rose Bowl for the traditional media day, Pietersen was bowling Harbajhan Singh with his second ball.
The colourful star, who has taken 55 first class wickets in his career plus another 35 in one-day games, ended with 1-4 off his only ever as India closed on 233-6.
He then made 33 off 40 balls as England triumphed in the penultimate game of the seven-match series.
