THESE are the feet that will be at the base of the statue of Saints legend Ted Bates.
Saints fan Ian Brennan is in the process of producing a plaster cast of Bates, who will be immortalised in the form of a bronze statue expected to be one of the biggest in the country.
Bates served Saints for 66 years, as a player, director, manager and president, before his death at the age of 85 in November 2003.
He had size nine feet, but those pictured are an incredible 18in long and are expected to be at eye-level on a plinth that will be unveiled outside St Mary's later this year.
