AT YOUR leisure: An over-55s April tea dance, in partnership with The Anvil, will feature a three-piece group led by pianist Mike Hatchard.
It takes place on Friday, April 21, from 2pm to 4pm at Oakridge Hall for All, with dancing, a raffle and refreshments.
For tickets and information, call Oakridge Hall for All on 01256 475844.
Don't forget, if you have a friend who has not yet been to any of the over-55s events, please introduce them and get entered into the prize draw.
JJ'S Indoor Play and Party Centre: Situated in Morse Road, West Ham Industrial Estate, Basingstoke, has been set aside on the following dates for children with special needs, along with their brothers and sisters, to attend, learn, exercise and develop through play, while parents can relax over a cuppa with other parents.
The dates are Friday, April 21, and May 26, from 7pm to 9pm, and cost £4 per child.
The age limit is 14 and there is no need to book - just come along and have fun.
For more details, call Paula, the organiser, on 07813 298066.
PUNISHED: It was reported to me that one of my sons stepped out of line last week. He is now on punishment because he couldn't behave. Apologies to the parents he offended.
But I wonder how many other parents act in the same way? It seems so many children out there are persistently offending and going unpunished.
THE Oak Pub: Over-50s lunches cost £3 every Tuesday. Breakfast is served from 10am for £3.50 or £4.50 with a cuppa.
And every other Thursday there's a quiz night. Call in for details.
