BUDDING artists in Eastleigh looking for a new art form to practise have been trying their hand at the colourful patterns, drawings and designs of stained glass windows.
Some of the secrets of the classic art form, which has been used to decorate churches and other buildings for many years, were revealed at a special workshop in Eastleigh Library.
Expert Heather McNeilly was on hand to show how the different and intricate designs could take shape in the glass and how they were best used with shining light to create a colourful effect.
Sharing her skills in the art, Heather showed visitors how the traditional art form could be a fun pastime to take up.
The workshop was organised by Hampshire County Council and the Hog the Limelight scheme as part of the Get More Out of Libraries programme.
