PHONE mast news: Mast campaigner Simon Preedy reports that operator 3 is looking to increase its mast locations in the area, in line with the terms of its 3G licences.
The areas it is looking in at present are the Danebury Road area, from The Crofts and Chatsworth Green, all the way down to the Inglewood Drive area, and the Hatch Warren Lane area.
The operator has asked for local communities to respond with ideas for the best possible sites.
Simon Preedy has urged the company to undertake extensive consultation with local residents prior to submitting a planning application.

A MARATHON effort: Local runner Vince Butcher will soon be competing in his second-consecutive London Marathon.
Last year, he raised more than £2,000 for a liver charity and this year he aims to raise a minimum of £2,500 for cystic fibrosis, following the diagnosis of a colleague's daughter with the disease.
