ANNUAL parish meeting: Friday, April 21, is the date of the Ellisfield annual parish meeting.

The agenda is due to be circulated this weekend in the parish newsletter.

The meeting starts at 8pm and will be chaired by parish council chairman Tim Guinness, who will report on activities and accounts.

There will be ample opportunity to question the council.

Representatives of every village organisation will be asked to give a short presentation and will answer any question you may have.

Following the formal meeting, there will be a social with refreshments provided.

All residents are invited, so do put the date in your diary. New residents are particularly welcome.

NATIONAL Cycle Network: Route 23, which, as you will know, passes through Ellisfield, is to be officially opened on Saturday, April 22.

Following this, those in attendance will be invited to cycle all or part of NCN Route 23 to Alton or Alresford.

FARLEIGH Club: Members are invited to join St George's Eve celebrations on Saturday, April 22, featuring Norman Wisdom (aka Glenn Ford) and cockney singer Victor Munro. It promises to be a night of music, laughter and fun.

New members are always welcome (£12 for a family subscription).

Call Annette on 01256 474690 for more details.

CHURCH election: The annual parochial church meeting, for the purpose of electing churchwardens and the parochial church council, will take place on Friday, April 28.

Father Clive says all members of the church electoral roll are encouraged and exalted to attend.
