PARISH council: The parish council meeting on Monday, April 10, received a report from Councillor Fryer concerning discussion with the borough council in connection with provision of a parish office and meeting room as an extension to the village hall.
While there is currently a shortfall on available funds to meet the proposed design, the parish council felt it was worth obtaining detailed quotations for the desired work in order to get a better idea of any shortfall and consider how this might be addressed.
The councillors also heard that Pc O'Hanlon is taking greater responsibility elsewhere and there is going to be a new beat bobby for Chineham.
