THESE pupils have every reason to smile after their school received a very complimentary Ofsted report.
Inspectors from the Office for Standards in Education found plenty of strengths at Crescent Primary in Eastleigh, which they described as a good school.
They praised the school's leadership, teaching standards and pupils' learning throughout the 372-pupil primary.
Under the headship of Jane Laurie they found the school had made significant progress since its last inspection report.
Inspectors singled out the way the school has focused on improving pupils' skills in individual subjects.
Relationships between pupils and staff were also found to be excellent, leading to children demonstrating good behaviour and positive attitudes to learning.
The school's teachers and teaching assistants were also shown to give good quality support to children with learning difficulties and those who were gifted and talented.
Deputy head teacher, John Fleat, said: "We were absolutely thrilled with the Ofsted report. We were confident that we were doing well and this reflects the hard work that everybody has done during the last few years.
"We have all worked hard, people have all pulled together and the report reflects this. We are especially proud of the emphasis the report puts on the school's caring ethos for the children.
"It is something we put a huge value on and it is nice to be recognised for that."
