Lymington are lining up Zimbabwe all-rounder Keith Dabengwa to play for them in the Southern Electric Premier cricket League this summer.
But, even if the 25-year old left-hander, gets a visa, he will miss Lymington's early Division 2 games.
"Keith is included in a 16-man Zimbabwe squad to play seven ODIs against the West Indies in a few weeks' time," explained Lymington captain Adie Hunt.
"If he gets the ok to join us, he'll miss our opening league games against Purbrook and St Cross Symondians."
A left-hand batsman and left-arm spin bowler, Dabengwa - pictured batting against India - has played three Tests for Zimbabwe this winter.
He took 3-127, including the wicket of Yuvraj Singh, and scored 35 against India at the Queen's Club, Bulawyo, and 2-87 against New Zealand on the same ground.
The bulk of the Zimbabwe touring squad will be playing club cricket in England after the West Indies tour and several are not expected to return to their native country.
