Netley Royals under-14s won through to the Tyro League Invitation Cup final at the weekend when they upset hot favourites TC Tornadoes.
The Tornadoes, who have only lost one league match all season, were surprisingly beaten 3-1.
They were 2-0 down at half-time to goals from midfielder Sam Dyke and striker Ben Williams.
And, though Tornadoes pulled a goal back, forward Declan White completed the victory to set up a May 6 final against either Alresford or Calmore.
Netley were delighted - especially considering that the team didn't exist last summer!
Manager Paul Fielder took over the reigns - his first youth football managerial role - prior to the start of the season after moving over from Sky Blues.
Half of the current Netley team were with the Hamble-based Sky Blues last season.
"The semi-final was our cup final in a way," said Fielder.
"None of the lads have ever got to a cup final before so we're well pleased.
"In fairness, 3-1 was a bit harsh on Tornadoes because it was a close end-to-end game."
White and Dave Wilson are on holiday in Weymouth when the final will be played, but have already said they will cut it short to play.
But Ricky Lorains may find it harder to get back from his holiday - he's in Spain!
