TRADITIONAL gypsies have been forced to abandon their annual visit to Broughton after being harrassed by a group of youths.
Mr and Mrs White had abuse hurled at them and stones hurled at their horse drawn Romany caravan - forcing them to pack up and move on. The gypsy couple who are yearly visitors to Broughton usually park their decorated caravan by the cemetery and stay for about a fortnight before heading off.

"They said Broughton was not the place it used to be," she added.
The couple are well known among the older residents annually appearing around Easter time.
"They are completely harmless but the attitude of the youngsters is they shouldn't be there.
