In London Three South West Winchester won the race for fifth place with Hampshire rivals Tottonians.
Winchester were easy 38-24 winners over Chobham and, but for a few soft tries from restarts, it could have been a more comfortable victory.
Scores from Simon Farrington, George Daniels, Simon Rogers, Jamie Kirkaldy and a Chris Ashwin ensured the win as the visitors were reduced to 13 men at one stage with two sent to the sin-bin.
Winchester have only lost twice since Christmas in a powerful second half of the season display.
And while fifth is one place lower than last year's finish, the club will be buoyed by the knowledge that they have blooded some exciting youngsters.
Club secretary Brian Postlethwaite said: "If we can keep hold of the players we'll have some hope for next season."
Tottonians find themselves in eighth at the end of the season after a 20-15 defeat at Old Wimbledonians.
That is perhaps not a fair reflection for a team that defeated Winchester only last month.
But it shows the competitiveness of the division.
