Five Hampshire youngsters were in the South side which won the England Hockey Under-14 divisional championships for the fourth successive year.
They won five of their six matches, scoring 27 goals, including a 9-0 demolition of the Midlands - a performance manager Chris Marsh rated as one of the finest displays of junior hockey he had ever seen.
The South side included King Edward VI pair Lawrence Carter and Sam Tombs, and Winchester goalkeeper Michael Lambert.
Managed by Pete Atkins (left) and Chris Marsh (right), the squad also contained skipper Peter Russell and Sean Pearcy.
