SCOUTS and Guides took part in the annual St George's Day parade through Winchester on Sunday.
About 800 assembled in Colebrook Street and then marched past the Guildhall, where the District Commissioner, Carol Bowen, took the salute.
She was accompanied by the mayor, Neil Baxter, who was himself a former Scout.
The parade, which was led by the TS Explorer Sea Cadets marching band, then moved into High Street, Market Street and the cathedral.
An hour-long service, conducted by Canon Charles Stewart, involved many of the youngsters who also renewed their promises.
