SUITABLE sites for affordable housing development was a topic debated by Stockbridge Parish Cou-ncil at its recent meeting.
Many areas in the village have been loked at as possible locations, including the old favourite of Marsh Court Road and Old London Road.
Chairman of the council Cllr David Baseley toured the village with Community Action representative John Lancaster to find other suitable spots and discovered Winton Hill.
"On the right hand side there is a level field, not enormous, but a perfect place," said Mr Baseley.
He told the gathered councillors he had spoken to the owner of the land who would be more than happy to sell for the proposed 21 affordable houses.
