A SEX shop is set to move to bigger premises in Andover's Junction Road after just a year in business.
Private Lines, the Test Valley Borough's first sex shop, has received backing from councillors to move to a larger shop next door to its present address.
Shop owner John Coughlan required more storage and office space, members of Test Valley Borough Council's licensing committee were told last week.
The shop's second licensing application contrasts heavily with its original bid for a licence a year ago - which attracted 32 objections.
But few eyebrows were raised this time around, with just two objections to the licence and one verbal complaint made about the shop's first year of tenure.
Councillors were told that one complainant alleged the front door of Private Lines had been left open on occasions.
Licensing officer Michael White said: "A condition of the licence was that the shop should have a self-closing door.
"Upon receipt of the complaint the shop was inspected outside and the door was never seen left open."
In a letter of objection, one Wolversdene Road resident wrote: "We have never needed such establishments previously and do not need one now."
