THE Romsey Wasps U14s walked away with the Hampshire Plate after a 27-19 win against Portsmouth last weekend.
The first half saw Romsey's Tom Morgan score his first try, quickly followed by Portsmouth levelling the score. Tom then went on to score a second try. That was quickly followed by a run the whole length of the pitch to between the posts by Simon Smith. His try was converted by Will Harper to give Romsey a 17-5 lead.
Just before the end of the first half, Portsmouth narrowed the gap with another try and a conversion to make the score 17-12.
The second half saw Morgan complete his hat-trick of tries before Toby Bull put the icing on the cake to give Wasps a convincing win.
