THREE European villages have been celebrating their very special connection at an event in Hampshire.
Dignitaries from the French communities of Authie and Carpique have been visiting their equals in North Baddesley to celebrate their relationship as twin villages.
Scores of people turned out to help the celebrations get under way at Knights Grove in Rowhams Road, where there was family entertainment and a barbecue.
This was followed by a performance from the youngsters of North Baddesley School choir then speeches of appreciation from the mayors of the different villages.
Just before leaving, the mayors helped plant a commemorative tree to mark the day that the three communities came together as one.
