A CHARITY which supports older people in Hampshire is appealing for more volunteers.
In Hampshire, Independent Age currently helps around 200 people to remain independent through emergency grants, mobility equipment, clothing and household items.
Jane O'Kelly, the organisation's south-east area representative, said: "We are seeking volunteers who have a few hours to spare each month to help with the friendship element of the charity's work.
"Volunteers are fully supported in their roles and our existing volunteers tell us how much they enjoy getting to know older people in their area."
If you would like to volunteer call Jane on 01264 363487 or log onto the website at www.independentage.org.uk.
