ENGLAND cricket legend David Gower is starring in a Desert Island Discs-style interview to raise funds for a church organ fund in a village near Winchester.
David, 49, pictured, who lives in Hampshire with his wife Thorunn and two daughters, will talk about his early life, cricketing career and life as a TV presenter, writer and commentator.
The interview is in aid of the Organ Fund for St Mary's Church, Twyford, on Friday, May 19 at 7.30pm.
The interview at the church will be conducted by the broadcaster Adam Kirtley and will be interspersed with David's eight chosen records, concluding with his favourite book and luxury item.
Mr Kirtley, who lives in Twyford, said: "It's a great honour for us that David has given his time to raise money for Twyford church."
Tickets for the show are available in advance or on the door.
Desert Island Discs is the popular Radio 4 programme currently presented by Sue Lawley.
