THE past is set to meet the future when Southampton-based Ordnance Survey holds an open day for retired staff.
The mapping agency is giving former workers the chance to revisit their old workplace to see how things have changed in recent years. The event will be held at their head office in Maybush on Tuesday, June 6 to show first hand how new technology is changing the way maps are produced.
"Similar events in the past for people to come along, meet former colleagues and see how things have progressed here, have been extremely popular among retired members of staff,'' said Janet Turner of Ordnance Survey's Business Centre."These are exciting times for Ordnance Survey and we are all looking forward to sharing them with former friends and colleagues." Any retired staff who would like to attend the event should contact Janet Turner as soon as possible. Write to her at: Ordnance Survey Business Centre, Romsey Road, Southampton, SO16 4GU.
