SIXTH-placed Kent will be hoping to hit the right notes at the Rose Bowl this week.
They are the only county side to have recorded their own song, entitled This Is Our Time.
Written by New Zealand-born singer/songwriter Ryan Edwards, it features veterans David Fulton and Martin Saggers among those singing, "we're the Spitfires and this is our time".
But the pitter-patter drone of rain, forecast for at least the first two days' play, could drown out their tuneful efforts.
Both sides have had a week's break from Championship action facing university sides last week before a weekend C&G Trophy washout.
Kent could welcome back spinner Min Patel who has been out of action for the past two weeks after aggravating a groin injury against Lancashire.
In Kent's last championship game, a draw with Yorkshire, big-hitting South African Justin Kemp smashed 124 not out off 176 balls, including five sixes.
Kent captain Robert Key also looks to be finding his rhythm after notching 81 in the same match - that after the one-time England Test star amassing only 47 runs from his four previous innings.
