BOWLING and batting were something that these youngsters took in their stride as they received some top cricketing tips at the home of Hampshire cricket.
Six pupils, aged eight and nine, from Fair Oak Junior, Hook with Warsash CE Primary and Locks Heath Junior schools took part in the hour-long coaching session at Hampshire Rose Bowl.
The event was organised as part of Sainsbury's Active Kids Scheme where shoppers can collect vouchers that can be exchanged by schools for new sports equipment.
Darren Noonan, manager of the Sainsbury's Hedge End store said: "Everyone had a lovely time. It far exceeded our expectations and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it."
