KEEN-EYED Overton residents are keeping their gaze trained on the village's new car park looking out for a rare breed -the lesser-spotted shopper.
The 40-space car park, on Overton Hill, has been set aside as a temporary site for shoppers and shop staff to use because of a lack of space in the village centre.
But some residents have been left wondering if the free car park will ever be embraced by villagers.
Cllr Peter Baker, speaking at a recent parish council meeting, said: "It's like looking for signs of cuckoos in the spring - the car park is hardly used.
