A SITE which has been a bone of contention in the centre of Tidworth for decades may at last have its future mapped out after planners agreed to let developers Bloor Homes build 28 new homes.
The old Roadhouse site was once earmarked for a supermarket and more recently as a place for a pub/restaurant but now planners have been persuaded the area in Pennings Road is suited to housing - even though it runs alongside the busy Pennings Road.
Members of Kennet District Council's regulatory committee, meeting in Devizes, agreed that the ultimate agreement to develop the property be delegated to officers.
