The Totton & Eling Tennis Centre took tennis into the community by hosting its first annual junior schools tournament over four days.

Eleven schools from the local area entered, with 150 children aged between eight and 11 taking part.

Schools represented were Abbotswood, Calmore, Oakfield, Orchard, Foxhills, Bartley, Wildground, Cadland, Nursling, North Baddesley and Marchwood.

Foxhills were the overall schools winners for Years 3 and 6 and Abbotswood won the title for years 4 & 5

Richard Carter, the centre's director of Tennis commented: "The event was competitive and the standard high.
