PLAYERS and their proud parents crammed into the Mick Channon Suite at St Mary's for the annual Eastleigh & District Mini Soccer League presentation evening.

Some arrived in limousines and others wore team shirts, but everybody left with a smile on their face.

The evening celebrated the achievements in all three age groups in 2005/06. Trophies were awarded to the winners and runners-up in each league and cup, as well as a fair play award in each league.

The event also acted as a platform for the EDMSL to thank those who have helped over the past season, from Saints FC and the Hampshire FA to outgoing fixture secretaries Sharon Whitehouse and Jessica Churcher.

EDMSL chairman Jim Pearson said: "The event is always a pleasure as it finishes the season off nicely.

"It is always nice to see the kids with a smile on their face and to see the hard work the teams put in come to fruition."
