Michael Vaughan is set to play his first county championship match in more than a year against Hampshire tomorrow.
The England captain cracked 67 at a run-a-ball on his comeback for Yorkshire at Headingley yesterday.
He dominated a third-wicket partnership of 91 in 14 overs with Darren Lehmann as Yorkshire beat Scotland in the C & G Trophy.
Before yesterday Vaughan had made only one appearance, a tour match against India three months ago, since having surgery on his right knee at the end of last year.
But he will play tomorrow, providing he suffers no reaction to his knee.
Vaughan said: "It was good to be back and it was a good work out but this doesn't mean I'll be playing for England on Friday.
"I'll see how I react but I'll be playing in all of Yorkshire's games if I can and I'm looking forward to playing a four-day game.
"I need to get some games under my belt in the next two to three weeks."
Vaughan has not played a championship match since last May.
Yorkshire: Wood, White (capt), Lumb, Lehmann, McGrath, A Gale, Vaughan, Brophy, Claydon, Kruis, Gillespie, Dawson, Bresnan.
