BEAULIEU Motor-cycle World (MCW) has become a must- see show for anyone interested in, involved with or completely passionate about bikes.

Off-road, on-road, quads, classics, modern and sporting are all to be found during the two-day event held over June 24-25 that sees the grounds of the National Motor Museum filled with the great and the good from the bike world, which gives fair claim to the title.

Be prepared to spend all day to really enjoy the show. Vendors will be offering show bargains, dealers will have the latest bikes on display and static displays of veteran, vintage and classic bikes sporting and road will provide an opportunity to see a living' motorcycle encyclopaedia.

Major manufacturers planning to attend the show include BMW, Aprilia, Duc-ati, Royal Enfield, Victory, Suzuki and Yamaha.

Many of those new models on display will have special exhibition prices. There is also the opportunity to meet race teams and riders.

Classic and modern owners' clubs booked in include MV Agusta, Moto Rumi, Kawasaki, The Kettle Club (that's the Suzuki GT750 watercooled), Suzuki (the other models), Ducati, BMW, Vintage Motorcycle Club of course and the Velocette Owners' Club.

Among the new bikes will be the recently released and hard-to-find, Suzuki 1800 Cruiser on Rob Willshers stand that bike and rider also provide a link with local biking past.

Barry pictured who owns the 1800, is the son of Sid Lawton, half of Lawton and Wilson the well known Southampton dealer.

Bikes only truly come to life when they are run and ridden and that's where MCW comes into its own.

A packed programme of events in the central arena will feature former World Champion endurance racer Jean-Francois Balde, riding one of his ex-works Kawasaki bikes, and Jason Finn doing unbelievable stunts on a modern trials machine.

Tickets: Saturday adult £10.75, child £6.50, Sunday adult £11.75, child £6.75, reductions if booked in advance on ticket hotline 01590 612888.

Parking is plentiful and free. Admission includes entry to the other Beaulieu attractions.
