A PAIR of flurry pink bras, two determined ladies and a nighttime marathon challenge raised more than £1,600 for cancer charity.

Caroline Bennett, of Lymington and Jill Millward, of New Milton, joined thousands of others to walk 26.2 miles of London leaving little to the imagination.

The pair had been training in the New Forest since January, walking three times a week.

"We called ourselves the Lymington Belles and decorated our bras in pink fluff and fringe, pink cancer bows, gold walk the walk feet and bells," said Caroline, 47.

The walk took them just under eight hours to complete and for both of them was an emotional rollercoaster. "The image of 15,000 people wearing pink hats in the hugest pink marquee will never leave us," added Caroline.

The Playtex Moonwalk was held on May 20 and 21 to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer and Cancer Care.

"We know of people that have had this devastating illness and felt that by doing this challenge it was a way of helping to raise funds and awareness and be a personnel achievement for us both," said Caroline.
