jump aboard a steam train and boost the coffers of a charity at the same time later this month.

Hampshire Autistic Society is organising a family fun evening at Lakeside Steam Railway in Eastleigh on Saturday, June 24.

Owner Clive Upton has given the Whiteley-based charity exclusive use of the railway for the event. As well as rides on the train, there will be a barbecue, bouncy castle, face-painting, refreshments and music.

Tickets for two adults and two children cost £15 and include a train ride, barbecue snack and a bounce on the castle. Additional tickets are £5 for adults or £3 for children.
