THEY'RE toasting England's success even before the first ball is kicked.
Patrons and staff at The Big Cheese in Southampton, pictured above, are backing David Beckham and Theo Walcott in their quest for World Cup glory. They are confident that they will have something to celebrate in five weeks' time when the greatest football show on earth reaches its climax.
The West End Road pub is festooned with balloons and flags both inside and out to show support for our boys as they battle the best teams in the world.
Not only are the regulars hopeful of success in Germany, they are also aiming to win the first prize in the Daily Echo's fantastic competition to find the county's top group of supporters.
Pub trainee manager Laura Stonadge said: "We have got to win. Even with Rooney not fit, we still stand a very good chance."
To enter the competition, all you need to do is decorate your pub, workplace, house or car in the colours of your favourite team at the competition. It does not even need to be England you can be a supporter of the Italian Azzuri, France's Les Bleus or Australia's Socceroos.
A world cup goodie bag is on offer for the winners.
